Slightly repetitive but not bad series. I bought for youtube playlists. Cool show. It's a good clean show, A great way to let your imagination run away with you and adding the Doctor to him just made them more special.
Each season will have ten golden stars. Sarah Jane Adventures was a beautiful show. I loved every season. I just wish that Season 5 had been longer.
The last episode hinted at other adventures to come but they were unfulfilled. Sad, but it is worth the watch even with the rushed ending.
Love them, they deal with aliens and earthly teenage trouble in a very relatable way and still mange to make it fun, they found amazing young Actors.

Having said that, i think Mr Smith, the computer , is underused this season and K9 is completely absent, i miss the friction between the two computers.
And the first story, 'Sky' is awful kids TV with dodgy support guest artistes and a new young companion to replace the clearly now adult Rani and Clyde.
But I love the tramp and the look of the Metalkind. I shudder to think what happened to Miss Myles? The story deals so well with the real issues of homelessness and isolation, it really is brave and well done, a superb piece, though the main totm pole plot is a bit silly.
What a shame it all finished there, there was so much more this series could have said and done. Thanks and bless you Lis. The extras consist only of a tribute to Elisabeth Slade, and not as good a one as was shown on the telly.

Only Mona Lisa's Revenge is a dud but it does not take away from the greatness of this show. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

Like some of the best Doctor Who episodes, it addresses things that are genuinely scary for kids losing one's parents, fears of not being liked by one's friends , but we always know Sarah Jane will make it all right in the end.
Great acting all around too. I've always been a special fan of Daniel Anthony Clyde , who gets most of the funny lines but who still crafts a character of real depth and sensitivity.
Also worth mentioning: how often does any show -- especially a science fiction show -- have a woman over 50 years old as its lead character? Exactly once in the history of TV as far as I can tell.

Aliens, sci-fi. I really enjoyed this season. The stories have solid plots, there are good brave characters, with many links to the Doctor Who universe to keep you remembering that it is set in a bigger universe than Smith's house and the area of London.
The Judoon show up, the Doctor shows up, and yes, we even get the Mona Lisa. Well, the painting of her. I enjoyed the fact that K-9 is now more active, and that he and Mr.
Smith don't seem to get along. All the characters, from Sarah to Rani, had some episodes that seemed to focus on them. In fact in a few episodes Sarah Jane Smith was kept out of the action, giving the teens more to do.
Which, being this is a kid's show, makes sense. It was because they were, in fact, smart enough to use Sarah Jane Smith's own history of behavior against her.
They also had some very nice one liners in that episode. And it was nice to see a husband and wife couple who could work together.
The season seemed to have the theme that not ALL aliens are monsters. This made for a much more interesting, and more complex, setting.
Because while even Sarah Jane knows these she still had problems trusting some of the aliens. For good reason.
Yet it is still a good theme, and lesson, to pass on to the kiddies. There is a star missing because this DVD set has little in the way of extras.
In some ways, on the other hand, it seems to me one of the most enjoyable of the three seasons so far available. In other words, it will be a few more seasons before they jump the shark, or the Slitheen, if you get my drift.
Excellant story but very sad ending and it had David Tennant's Doctor Sarah Jane has waited all her life for the right man other than the Doctor to show up and he is dead and only being kept alive by the Trickter to trap Sarah Jane.
I love that the kids show how much they love and worry about Sarah Jane. This story also showed how well Elizabeth Sladen and David Tennant worked together.
Really good writing. This is a fun quirky spinoff of Dr. I really like it the episodes are short usually two parts.
Although they changed girls introducing a new Indian girl with her father as the new principal her mother seems apt for trouble that Sarah and the gang can deal with.
It gives a "fresh" Spin to the stories and K-9 comes back so the stories are looking better especially some are centered around Sarahs life.
Being a Brit show, I thought this would be great for my kids. I even started off watching this myself although I personally think the plot for this series quickly got twisted way off course.

Sarah Jane Smith continues to save the planet whenever The Doctor is otherwise engaged - invaluable help provided by adopted genius son Luke, young neighbours streetwise Clyde and would-be reporter Rani, that awesome computer and the welcome return of K9.
Six more two part adventures are guaranteed to give much enjoyment. The first one perhaps rather less so - seemingly a trifle under-rehearsed and, to be honest, a bit silly.
Rapidly though the season is back on form with exciting events in a derelict fairground, a haunted house Donald Sumpter splendidly sinister and an art gallery.
Not least is that little matter of rapidly multiplying plants threatening to exterminate all human life Many highlights include a glimpse of , a desperately lonely aged Rani forever regretting the great mistake she once made.
Best moment of all? For many this may well occur at the end of episode five. Sarah Jane is about to marry. Suddenly - a dramatic intervention designed to make viewers sit up and give a great cheer.
No bonuses to speak of, but much to please - including Sam Watts' music which ideally complements. Sadly there are still those pre-credit spoilers that so irritate.
Why not let us reflect on what we have seen, try to anticipate how things will work out? Such trailers do not whet the appetite but spoil the meal.
For three seasons this Doctor Who spin-off has delighted - Elisabeth Sladen ensuring it all works a treat. Mums and dads, perhaps even grandparents, enjoyed her Sarah Jane exploits over thirty years ago.
Now she has a new generation of fans. Great fun. Warmly recommended. This is my favourite series so far. Not only does it have a guest appearance of the Doctor and the permanent return of K9 it has several engaging storylines that stretch more boundaries than the previous two.
There is still al lot of light hearted comedy in the episodes, particularly the Judoon antics in "prisoner of the Judoon", but there are also some darker elements such as Rani becoming a bitter old hermit in "The Mad Woman in the Attic" and a death related teary ending for Sarah Jane in "The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith".
The series also signifies long term change for the characters, particularly Luke acting like a normal teenagr instead of a culture confused genius.
Clearly the writers have realised that this programme has a large mature audience as well as a young CBBC audience. This painting was a forgery made by Da Vinci at around the same time as the original so why the cockney talking italian fake claimed to know the secret behind Da Vinci's work I don't know.
It's Miss Sarah Jane Smith! Well I think that the BBC spin-off adventure series of Sarah Jane is a good purchase because I think that she did an excellent performance and of course her son called Luke is brilliant because he has a mathematical brain that can hack into any system or computer.
I think that he did a good performance as the Tenth Doctor because he defeated the ugly Trickster. I mean I just did not like him at all.

My only adverse comment would be 'what's happening to Luke? He's my favourite character out of the young people, his mix of innocence and intelligence combines really well and he comes to the rescue so many times.
But in this series he gets sidelined. In the Sarah Jane Gets Married episode, Luke is continually left behind to watch for the Tardis re-appearing, a job K9 could have easily done alone.
Then in the next one, the haunted house, Luke doesn't appear at all. Are they phasing the character out? If so, I will miss him.
I didn't miss Maria so much but Luke will definately be a loss to the show. Maybe it's the mother instinct in me?
